Effectiveness of an Auto-stable Bicanaliculus Intubation Stent in the Management of Acquired Punctal Stenosis

Objective: To determine the effectiveness of an autostable bicanaliculus Intubation stent in management acquired punctal stenosis adults.Study Design: Quasi-experimental study.Place and Duration Study: The study was carried at Armed Forces Institute Ophthalmology (AFIO), Rawalpindi, Pakistan, from April 2022 to November 2022.Materials Methods: This is being conducted after approval hospital ethical review committee. A sum 16 subjects were included this study, which 11 females, 4 males, while one patient did not fulfill follow-up criteria our so included. In adult patients with proximal punctual stenosis, bicanalicular auto-stable self-retaining stents implanted performing probing sac syringing. Follow-up done up 06 months, anatomical functional success determined help munk score system epiphora, states 0 means no epiphora 5 constant epiphora.Results: Out 15 subjects, (73.3%) (26.7%)) who underwent stents. 14 (93.3%) noticed, (6.7%) patient, extrusion tube occurred.Conclusion: treatment adults can be easily only improve rate but also improves functioning puncti.
